Abstract
If viewed viewed from the data released by the Asosiasi Energi Laut Indonesia (ASELI) theoretically the total national marine resources can produce power of 727,000 MW, this power is generated from the thermal energy sources of the ocean and ocean wave. This study discusses the potential energy and power produced and loads that can be supplied if built Ocean Wave Power Plants with the method Oscilating Water Column in the three southern regions of East Java that is Teleng Ria beach Kab. Pacitan, Bajul Mati beach Kab. Malang and Pulau Merah beach Kab. Banyuwangi. Oscilating Water Column is selected because it has many conveniences, one of them is a simple way of working. From the results of calculations that have been done can be known the amount of energy and power and the load that can be supplied from Teleng Ria Beach is a maximum of 1.203.082,66 Joules and 32.084,33 Watts and maximum load that can be supplied by 36 houses. While the energy and power and load that can be supplied from Bajul Mati Beach are as high as 2.665.828,25 Joules and 62.264,45 Watts and the maximum load that can be supplied is 70 houses, energy and power and the burden that can be supplied from the Red Island Beach is as high as 110.989,95Joules and 4.403,35 Watts and maximum load that can be supplied by 5 houses.
