Forest was an ecosystem part, consist of area with natural resource, dominated by trees in environmental unity, which could not be separated. People needs of natural resource, especially forest would be increased along the growth of society, meanwhile, natural resource getting decreased, it caused the forestry development focused on quality and quantity development and its function through forestry management with the society. In facing forest destruction problem, people around the forest neighborhood involvement need to be increased and supported by elucidation, education, training, rule, information, also research and development. People involvement in forest preservation at Malang region has begun by the making of Forest Conservation Partnership Pattern program (Pola Kemitraan Pengelolaan Hutan – PKPH) The research used descriptive method with qualitative approach which was meant to analyze and describe certain phenomena existed in the field. In this research, data analysis technique was beating out all data from every source. After it was read, the next step was reducing the data which was done by making summary. Data arranged by coding. The last phase was making data validation. After this phase, we continued to data interpretation. The result showed that PKPH plan started with regional statement, institution identification and activity pattern which would be held by people and involving parties. PKPH Program activity was started since 2004. The achievement from every regional statement plan reached 46%. Some forms of Forestry village society activity with forestry institution at Malang were forestry resource management and land use. According to the conclusion, the writer recommend to increase the performance in forestry management and people income increasing, which were done by monitoring, whether by forest manager, regional government, LKDPH, and involving parties as stated by the law.
