Abstract

Photovoltaic (PV) is a renewable energy source that can be used anywhere as long as there is sunlight. The use of PV is very beneficial because besides the absence of fuel for its operation, PV is also environmentally friendly because it does not produce greenhouse gases, does not cause noise, there is no wear and tear because there are no moving components and easy maintenance. However, the power produced by the PV system is stochastic due to variations in sunlight and cell temperature throughout the day. To obtain the Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) value by using a DC-DC converter that is optimized with the algorithm. In this design using a landsman converter with a combination algorithm that is P & O-fuzzy and in the final results compared to buck-boost converters using the same algorithm. Power efficiency in PV with landsman converter uses P & O-Fuzzy algorithm when iridation 1000 W/m^2 is an average of 96.1% with the highest power output of 967.4watt and when using buck-boost converter with P & O-Fuzzy algorithm of 94.6 %% with output the highest power is 1002 watts. Rise time for power when using a buck-boost converter occurs slower, ie 0.071s, whereas when using a landsman converter the rise time occurs faster, ie 0.0037s
