Abstract

Islamic education learning is currently still considered unsuccessful due to various problems. Doctrinal and dichotomous learning is one of the problems that hamper the success of Islamic Studies. Integration of Religion and Science in Islamic education learning is a new solution and effort in creating a more active, interesting and creative learning atmosphere. Integration between Religion and Science in the world of Indonesian education is being pursued by various parties. The integration effort is not only carried out by the academic community at the Higher Education but also at the school level at both elementary and secondary (middle and high school) levels. One school that has sought Islamic education learning with the content of integration of Religion and Science is able to provide real experiences to students while increasing faith in the verse about natural phenomena. This study discusses the integration of Religion and Science in Islamic education learning, with the location of High School 3 Malang. This study focuses on efforts to implement the integration of Religion and Science in Islamic Education in Malang 3 State High School. Using integration theory and integrated learning concepts. Using a qualitative approach in the form of in-depth interview techniques to key informants, such as Vice Principal Curriculum, Islamic education teachers, and students. The result of the research were that Islamic education learning at High School 3 Malang contained integration between Religion and Science. This integration effort is carried out as a logical consequence of High School's 3 Malang vision and mission that sets the standard of faith, piety and is able to compete in the era of globalization and adapted to the characteristics of students who are superior, critical and have a high interest in the field of Science and Technology. Overall the integration of Religion and Science in Islamic Studies learning in High School 3 Malang has run even though there is no separate integration curriculum. The students' response to the learning of Religion and Science integration is very good.
