Abstract

Learning evaluation results are the final stages in learning. The highest score indicates the level of student success in learning. The problem that often occurs is that students are not optimal in understanding the lesson. Moreover, these subjects are subjects that greatly influence students in their daily activities. Students' misunderstandings occur because of lack of attractive methods used by educators when teaching. So this research will try to find out the extent of the application of the jigsaw method in learning religious education and character. This study aims to identify the influence of the jigsaw method applied in learning and describe the factors that influence students in learning using the jigsaw method. In order to reach the level of student success in learning maximally, especially in terms of understanding and activeness. The jigsaw method is one of the learning methods that are in line with the 2013 curriculum. This method is done so that students can understand the lesson and are active in learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of comparative experimental research. The object of this research is class X students majoring in office and multimedia administration. Data collection techniques carried out are using a written test that aims to measure student understanding and questionnaires that aim to measure student activity and look for factors that influence students in understanding and activeness. So the results obtained by the researchers show the influence of the jigsaw method on understanding and activeness. The factors that influence the understanding of this research are intelligence, learning interest, family assistance, readiness and school environment. While the factors that influence activity are physical health, intelligence, attention, motivation, interest in learning, family assistance, school environment and community environment.
