Abstract

The behavior of the movement of traffic on a road is the important things to describe and to explain the State of traffic on a road. The behavior of the movement of the traffic in question is the relationship between the characteristics of a Volume-avreage speed space-density. The purpose of this study is to know the characteristic relationship of Greenshield Models compare to the average speed space with density of traffic flow. The relationship between the characteristics of average speed space and density with Greenshield model known by using linier regresion. From the result of linier regresion, coefficient of determination is determining whether or not the resulting relatinship is significant. Then, performance of a road known by using MKJI 1997. The relationship between the characteristics of average speed space and density at road Jendral Sudriman morning peak hour is Us = 57,02 – 0,06D with R2 = 0,4 and afternoon peak hour is Us = 35,46 – 0,0067D with R2 = 0,19. While at road Sultan Hasanuddin morning peak hour is Us= 60,39 – 0,14D with R2 = 0,72 and afternoon peak hour is Us = 39,08 – 0,01D with R2 = 0,19.
