Abstract

Tomatoes are food crops consumed by the people of Indonesia. The need for tomatoes each year has increased such as in terms of increasing production and planting area nationally. The disease that attacks tomato plants reaches a large level of damage and causes losses of 20-30%. Diseases that often attack tomatoes such as leaf rot, fusarium wilt, leaf spotting, bacterial wilt, fruit rot and others. Control is needed using tobacco extracts and the use of natural husk ash which is not widely used by the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of tobacco extracts and husk ash with various doses in inhibiting the disease of tomato plants in the field. This study used Factorial Randomized Block Design with 2 factors, 3 replications and obtained 9 combinations of treatments. The results of observations of diseases that occur when in the field, intensity of attack, plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit, and weight of fresh fruit. Based on the results of the study that the treatment without tobacco extract with 30 g husk ash (P1A2) and control and 50 g husk ash (POA3) was the highest treatment in the variable plant height, leaf number, fresh fruit weight and intensity of attack.
