Abstract

The development of the production of sugar cane Plantation according to Statistics Indonesia 2015-2017 Years experienced ups and downs. Sugar cane production in the year 2015 reached 2,497,997 tons in the year 2016 decline be 2,222,971 tons. The provision of new clones-clone to become one of the most effective approach in dealing with the matter because of expected future new clones capable of production high in the midst of extreme weather, biotic or abiotic component cekaman pressure, and has quality according to the changing preferences of consumers. The purpose of this research is to know the variations of the vegetative, the level of pest and disease attacks on 14 clones of superior sugarcane P3GI in the hopes of Malang and Pasuruan and know whether or not there is an interaction between genotype and environment on the vegetative phase, the level of attacks of pests and diseases on a test site in Lumajang and Pasuruan. Research conducted in August 2017 until March 2018. The location of the testing done at garden experiment in the village of Banyuputih Kidul, District Jatiroto, Lumajang and at the Sugar Plantation Research Center of Indonesia (P3GI) municipality of Pasuruan. This study used a Complete Block Design Group (RKLT) with two factor. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance or test F 5% at each location and combined analysis of variance at two locations, then do multiple comparison test with HSD test at 5% and 1%. Based on the results of research conducted vegetative phase variation and pest attack 14 clones of sugarcane planted in Pasuruan, Lumajang and show broad criteria on germination parameters, number of shoots, the number of stems, plant height, stem diameter, mosaic disease and illness pohkabung. Meanwhile, the narrow criteria on the parameters of the number of clumps, stem volume per segment, shoot borers and stem borers, then there is an interaction between the genotype and the environment on the parameters germination (%), the number of stems, plant height (cm), mosaic disease and illness pohkabung. Clones that showed the most excellent vegetative growth and the level of pests and diseases is low at both locations are clones PSJT 94-60.
