Abstract

One of the most important diseases in Cayenne plants is the fusarium disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum. This disease could affect on yield more than 50%. The efforts that could be done to control Fusarium wilt disease that eco friendly by using natural ingredients such as leaves plants powder and husk ash. Clove leaves, betel leaves and husk ash are natural ingredients that contain antimicrobials and get neutral pH for the soil. By using the leaves of cloves, betel and husk ash, is expected to suppress the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum so as to increase the production of Cayenne pepper. The purpose of this research is to know the symptoms of Fusarium wilt disease in Cayenne pepper and get the application and the right dosage in controlling Fusarium wilt disease on pepper plant. This research was conducted in Jember. The design used is Randomized Block Design which is 10 treatment and repeated 4 times. The density of pathogenic spores used was 2.22 x 10-6 spores / ml. Based on the results of research, symptoms of pathogen attack on Cayenne pepper plant that emergence of symptoms withered to yellowish on some leaves of the plant for several days until the plant died. Clove, betel leaves and husk ash can control Fusarium wilt disease. However, the combined application of all three with a dose of 50 grams is the best application compared to all
