Abstract

ABSTRAK Shallots (Allium cepa L.) is one of the superior tuber species that has been cultivated by most farmers in Indonesia. Efforts to improve agricultural production by adding organic fertilizer. vermicompost is an organic fertilizer that functions as a good and natural soil enhancer, but depends on the type of combination and composition of the worm feed itself. Soybean husk waste, sawdust waste and straw are organic materials that are rich in macro and micro nutrients which are important for plant growth. This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of red onion (Allium ceppa L.) plants to the composition of soybean seed husk waste (KABK), bagasse and sawdust as worm feed and dosage size of vermicompost administration. The study was conducted in Green Hause which was located in the Integrated Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Uniniverstas Muhammadiyah Malang, with an altitude of 564 meters above sea level, a mean temperature of 240C. This study uses factorial randomized block design (RAKF) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the composition of worm feed ingredients (K) consisting of 3 levels K1 = 50% CABB + 50% sawdust, K2 = 50% CABB + 50% bagasse and K3 = 50% CABB + 25% SG + 25% AP. While the second factor, the size of Vermicompost dose (D) consists of 3 levels namely D1 = 0 t / ha, D2 = 2.5 t / ha and D3 = 5 t / ha. Observation parameters included plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, diameter of tubers, wet weight of plants, dry weight of stover, wet weight of tuber bulbs, dry weight of tuber bulbs, wet weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers. The results showed that the composition of vermicompost feed composition from soybean seed husk waste with several other organic waste compositions, namely sawdust and bagasse (K) with treatment dose (D) showed significant differences in the number of leaves ie 30 HST plant age. In the composition treatment of vermicompost feed from soybean seed husk waste with several other compositions of organic waste, namely sawdust and bagasse (K) has a real and very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, tuber diameter, wet weight of tubers clump, dry weight of the bulb tuber, wet weight of the tuber, dry weight of the tuber. While the treatment of administering dose size does not have a significant effect on each parameter.
