Abstract

The increasing number of motorcycle in the Samarinda city, especially in Dr. Soetomo St and Pahlawan St having big potential risk against the emergence of traffic accidents. One factor being the main cause of traffic accidents is the rider, where contribute more than 90% to the traffic accidents. This study attempts to analyze the rider factor to the risk of traffic accident. Methods used a calculation speed a moment and descriptive analysis quantitative with the test linear regression multiple (Simultaneous test and Partial test). The analysis result of a moment average speed at Dr. Soetomo St and Pahlawan St for both directions is 42,14 Km/hour at 06.30 to 07.30 and 40,09 km/hour at 14.30 to 15.30. For the speed limit on urban area is still classified unsave, because the speed beyond the provision which that is above 40 km/hour. The results of the simultaneously show the aggressiveness, psychological factor, physiological factor, speed factors and vehicle check factors influence simultaneous on variables accident, Because, Sig. Value smaller than a score as much 5% (0,05) and to the test a partial hypothesis concluded that the aggressiveness impact significantly on variable accident, because, Sig. Value smaller than α = 5% (0,05).
