Abstract

The recent years, it is found children showing abnormal but not diverge behavior. These kinds of children refer to indigo children. They have maturer behavior then their real ages. Based on the explanation above, hence it is perceived the importance to know how the psychological description of indigo children that often said to be differ from other children in general, especially that related to intelligence and socio-emotional in order to make the society can be more understand and comprehend the indigo children phenomenon. This research is descriptive qualitative research. It has purpose to know the socio-emotional and intelligence of Indigo children. Research method uses interview, observation and psychological test to obtain research data. The subject of this research is one child with the certain requirements, that is: the subject is an indigo child based on the provided characteristics. Researcher uses qualitative data analysis by working on the data, organizing data, sorting data to be manageable unit, synthesizing them, seeking and finding some patterns, finding what the important is and what will be learned, and deciding what can be told to others. From the conducted research, it can be know that subject has IQ of 159. It can be categorized into very superior, with the prominent ability in reasoning, memorizing and verbal analysis areas. In surrounding environment, subject can interact with the more dominant character, so that he can influence others and has leadership spirit to manage the environment. Although he has dominant character, subject has better emotional control and tends to be wise in handling a problemvv
