Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disorder of metabolites due to lack of production of insulin hormone by the pancreas in the body. Handling of DM 2 patients can be done by administering antidiabetic drugs orally and administering insulin. In addition to the use of antidiabetic therapy peroral, can also use traditional medicine. In this research, scimning of metabolite compounds in plants that have been tested in vivo and in vitro has the potential as antidiabetes, ie in the leaves of tamarind and bitter melon, but in the study there has been no molecular explanation related to the mechanism of action of metabolite compounds that have antidiabetic activity. Objective: To know which metabolite compound of Javanese acid and pare plant that can give the activity as antidiabetes and to predict the working mechanism of the plant metabolite compound in silico. Method: In this study used Autodock Vina software and analyzed result based on one way ANOVA statistical method with significance value of p <0,05. Results and Conclusions: From the analysis of results can be concluded as much as 21 compounds of metabolites in the acid leaf of Javanic tested 11 compounds predicted to have antidiabetes activity, whereas in the pare of 27 compounds metabolite tested obtained 25 compounds that have activity. Meanwhile, according to the mechanism of action, metabolite compounds that are predicted to work as Alfa Guklosa Inhibitor is as much as 3 compounds of Javanic acid leaves and 25 compounds in bitter melon. Compounds that are predicted to work as Biguanid are as many as 10 compounds of Javanic acid leaves and 25 compounds of bitter melon. Compounds that are predicted to work as insulin are as much as 6 compounds of metabolites in the leaves of Javanic acid and 11 compounds of bitter melon.
