Abstract

Marriage has a purpose to be able to obtain peace of life and obtain affection while providing biological needs which are a means to continue and maintain offspring, maintain honor and with the purpose of worship. The purpose of this study is to determine the problems experienced by pregnant women outside marriage and understand and know the orientation of social actions of pregnant women outside marriage. The research method used is qualitative descriptive case studies with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique of determining the research subject uses purposive sampling techniques. The analysis technique in this study uses the theory of promiscuity by Darnoto. The results of this study are the problems that are ignored by pregnant women out of wedlock, namely: (1) Social stigma with the emergence of negative views, and rejection in society. (2) Emotional distress that affects the psychology of pregnant women out of wedlock. (3) Physical health impacts associated with pregnancy out of wedlock. Social orientation of pregnant women outside marriage with a holistic approach through strengthening social support, increasing understanding of sexuality, and the effective role of the family to help pregnant women recover out of wedlock.
