Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of work discipline on employee performance, and the variable of employee engagement as a mediator in the relationship between work discipline and employee performance. This study was conducted among employees in the Civil Works Division of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office in Mojokerto Regency, with a total of fouty five respondents. The sampling technique employed in this research was saturated sampling, where the entire population was included as the sample. Data collection utilized a questionnaire. The data analysis technique involved the use of scale ranges and Partial Least Square (PLS) 4.0. The results of the scale range calculations indicate that the Work Discipline variable (X) falls under the high category means thst employees are disciplinedin complying with all company regulation, employee performance (Y) falls under the high category, and employee engagement (Z) falls under the high category means that employees are attached to the company where they work. The results of this study demonstrate that work discipline has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant influence on employee engagement. However, employee engagement does not have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Additionally, employee engagement does not mediate the influence of work discipline on employee performance.
