Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile of bacterial growth with the use of different bioaditives on coffee bark fermentation withsystem batch at 1, 4, 6 and 8 weeks and Know the value of alkalinity with different bioadditive use ofsystem batch at 1.4, 6, and 8 weeks. This research was conducted in February - March 2018, at the Animal Husbandry Laboratory of University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The material to be used in this study was 84 grams of coffee skin waste per 5 liter jurigen divided into three treatments with 15 percent addition of starter, with P1 (control) nine parts, P2 (rumen fluid) nine parts, and P3 (slurry) nine parts. This study used Randomized Block Design (RAK) divided into three groups with three treatments and four replications, and data analysis with quantitative descriptive. Population of bacterial growth of first week P1 10x1011, P2 9x1011, P3 40x1011, fourth week P1 9x1011, P2 13x1011, P3 50x1011, sixth week P1 7x1011, P2 10x1011, P3 31x1011, and the eighth week of P1 6x1011, P2 7x1011, P3 25x1011 (in units cfu/ml). The alkalinity value was obtained in the first week of P1 849.1, P2 839, P3 976, fourth week P1 839, P2 468, P3 1035, the sixth week of P1 172 , P2 177, P3 185 ,and eighth week P1 180, P2 178, P3 191 (in units mg/l CaCo3). The conclusions of this study were the addition of 15 percent slurry of coffee skin on coffee skin fermentation batch increasing the bacterial population and alkalinity values.
