Abstract

The difference in stocking density is an activity to determine the magnitude of the growth rate of fish carried out in cultivation. One of them is the cultivation of freshwater bawal fish (Colossomam macropomum) with research activities conducted for 30 days. This research was conducted in June - July 2017 at the UPTD of the Fish Seed Center in East Teja, Pamekasan Distric. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of stocking solid differences in freshwater Bawal fish cultivation (Colossomam macropomum). The method used in the study was an experimental method and a completely randomized design (RAL) of 1 factor with 5 treatment levels (10 tail/m2, 20 tail/m2, 30 tail/m2, 40 tail/m2, 50 tail/m2) and 3 replications . The data obtained were analyzed using diversity analysis (ANAVA), if there were differences in the results of the effectiveness of the treatment carried out further BNT test with a significant level of 5% real level. The results showed that the use of different stocking densities with treatment 10 tail/m2, 20 tail/m2, 30 tail/m2, 40 tail/m2, 50 tail/m2 there was no difference in the growth rate of freshwater bawal fish (Colossomam macropomum). Analysis of variance also showed that the absolute growth test and long growth were not significantly different because the F value calculated < F. table 0.05 and F. table 0.01. The average water quality measurement results (pH, DO and temperature) of all treatments were in the normal range of pH 7.04; DO 5.92 mg/L; temperature 27.04°C. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the stocking density difference does not significantly influence the growth rate of freshwater Bawal fish cultivation (Colossomam macropomum).
