Abstract

Background: Power is the ability of a person to using the maximum power that is deployed in a short time. In Futsal dominant use leg muscle power is Plyometric with side jump sprint technique. And add core stability exercise to control the position and motion of lumbar, pelvis and legs during exercise. This study aims to determine the effects of core stability combination exercise with plyometric of side jump sprint on increasing leg muscle power of futsal player Nuku Muda. Research Method: The research design was Quasi Experimental with Pretest-Posttest Design by Control, with sample size of 30 peoples divide into 2 groups, i.e. experimental group with 15 peoples who were given a combination of core stability exercise with plyometric of side jump sprint and control group with 15 peoples who were given training plyometric side sprint only. Pretest and posttest measurements to determine an increase in leg muscle power using a standing board jump test. Result: The result of the research with independent t-test obtained the significance value of p is greater than alpha 5% (0.29>0.05), this means H1 is rejected and H0 is accepted. So it can be said that there is no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: The combination of core stability exercise with plyometric of side jump sprint and plyometric side jump sprint only are equally effective and there is no significant difference between the two groups to increase the leg muscle power of futsal player Nuku Muda.
