Abstract

This research was conducted in July-August 2017, held at the Laboratory of Fisheries and Biotechnology University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Avicennia marina Mangrove Leaf extract on Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial inhibition on Gurame Osphronemus gouramy, and to know the concentration of Mangrove Leaf extract of Avicennia marina against Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria in Gurame Osphronemus gouramy that give the value of prevalensi, Clinical best after infected bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila. The method used in this research is the experimental method and using Completely Randomized Design (RAL). Concentration of Avicennia marina mangrove leaf extract given among others P1; (10%), P2; (15%), P3; (20%), P4; (25%), P5; (30%) and K; (0%) as control and do 3 repetitions. The data obtained were analyzed by variation analysis method (ANAVA) followed by BNT test (Real Different Difference). The result of variance analysis showed that the use of Avicennia marina mangrove leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria had a very significant effect with the best value on the disc test was the concentration of P3 (20%) which yielded average diameter of 20.00 mm. Prevalence of Gurame Fish Once in bacterial infection Aeromonas hydrophila showed no significant difference. While Gurame post-treatment Gurapai stools with maize leaf extract of Avicennia marina showed different results very real. While Gurame post-treatment of saliva with maize leaf extract of Avicennia marina showed different results very real. The best survival was obtained at P3 treatment (20%) with an average of 83.33%. Clinical symptoms were found, among others, the growth of white fungus on the tip of the fin of the fish and on parts of the body that suffered bruises. The secretion of the mucus seems excessive over the body of the fish, with a pale body color. Decreased appetite, pale eyes, scalp damage and mold growth, pale body color, fish movements become sluggish, fish tend to stay at the bottom of the aquarium; wounds / inflammation of the infected area; bleeding at the base of the caudal fin and the dorsal fin, and in the lower abdomen looks distended and swelling. Fish before death rise to the surface of the water with a volatile swim. Water quality measurements showed temperatures: 25 ° C, DO: 5 mg / l, pH: 7. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that mangrove leaf extract of Avicennia marina can be used as an alternative natural antibacterial material Aeromonas hydrophila in Gurame Fish with optimal dose 20%.
