Abstract

This research has been conducted in Biomedical Laboratory of Faculty of Medicine and Indoor Fisheries Laboratory of Faculty of Animal Husbandry of University of Muhammadiyah Malang on 1st of March until 14th April 2017. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of infection A. hydrophilla on dipping lines at the multilevel dose to Common carp seed strain Punten (Cyprinus carpio) to the value of Lethal Dose 50 value (LD50) and the prevalence of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease on the carp seed of Punten (Cyprinus carpio). Method used in this research is an experimental method By using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). In This study has five treatments with various doses of A. hydrophilla bacterial density that is treatments A (103 cfu/ml), B (104 cfu/ml), C (105 cfu/ml), D (106 cfu/ml) dan E (107 cfu/ml) with each treatments repeated four times. The main parameters observed is Lethal Dose 50 value (LD50) and the prevalence of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease. The data obtained analyzed by using analysis of variance and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that of A. hydrophilla infection on dipping lines have a very real effect on Lethal Dose 50 value (LD50) and the prevalence of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease on the carp seed of Punten (Cyprinus carpio). The percentage of fish mortality and the prevalence of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) disease increases with in increasing dose of A. hydrophilla infected in fish. Conclusion from the research of A. hydrophilla infection on dipping lines to Common carp seed strain Punten (Cyprinus carpio) produced Lethal Dose 50 value (LD50) at the dose of infection 106,34933 or around 2.235.270 cfu/ml. The percentage prevalence of MAS disease highest occuring in treatment E (107 cfu/ml) that is equal to 95%. To minimize the occurence MAS disease which can lead to mass mortality of fish on aquaculter activities should be done sanitation on ponds and cultivation equipment to be used, so that the cultivated fish not experience death beyond the limits of LD50. Suggestion from this reserach is need further research about influence of A. hydrophilla infection on common carp seed strain Punten with dipping infection method and its effect on the haemotological level such as haematocrit, leukocrit level and leukocyte differentials.
