Abstract

Communication on friendship and business relations done by community groups in this case is Arab-Chinese ethnic is not all communications can work well, many friendships that sometimes have conflict where the conflict occurred because of lack of a communication or even miss communication will occur. The pattern of communication linked directly if ideas, ideas or responses are not accepted by other members, there will be interpersonal conflicts. The purpose of the research is to describe interpersonal pattern of Arab-Chinese ethnic communication (Study in Embong Arab and Chinatown Malang). The type of research used is descriptive. The focus of this research is specifically related to interpersonal communication on Arab-Chinese ethnicity in an effort to avoid conflict due to cultural differences. In the analysis of research data, the researchers used interactive analysis techniques according to Miles and Hubberman. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the above study and after performing the data analysis, it can be concluded about interpersonal pattern of Arab-Chinese ethnic communication in Embong Arab and Chinatown that both groups have occupied Chinatown or in Kampung Arab is long and working or trying according to their fields of business and both groups can coexist so well that all activities carried out by both groups can run in accordance with the wishes or expectations. Both groups are also always trying to find a peaceful solution is always done between the two groups so that both groups are kept awake while in the event of a conflict that occurs then the effort to seek a legal way will be done so that the conflict does not cause problems that can damage the good relationship between both groups. Based on the analysis results can be seen that during this ethnic members have maintained a good relationship so that this makes all the activities undertaken so that activities can support efforts to maintain good relations between ethnic members that exist. The efforts of both groups can also be demonstrated by the establishment of good relationships between ethnic groups in Chinatown and Embong Arab, this shows the real effort of each invidual to maintain good relations of ethnic existing in place or location. When associated with the relationship with the community around it shows that during these two ethnic groups also get a personal invitation or individual when there RT or RW activities. In addition, the two ethnic groups also get information about environmental activities conducted directly RT or RW so that all RT activities can be clearly known by the residents.
