Abstract
The object and problem of this research is the signatures forgery are done by students of UMM. A juridical socio legal research method which has a significant accentuation to the law cases in society, descriptive and qualitative analysis of it, observation, interview and questionnaire from random data that still can not be solved are used in this research. The data have been collected and with some literatures so that the problem can be solved. According to the result of this research, taken 120 students as samples from 6 faculties, there are 59 students of UMM have done falsification of signatures. The signatures that are faked are presence of lectures, Student Study Card (Kartu Studi Mahasiswa) and Student Plan Card (Kartu Rencana Mahasiswa). The reason for falsification is because of efficiency of times, the individual’s laziness and the presence of lecturers have influence for fake signatures. The efforts have been done by university to solve disobedient case such making fake signatures are existence of academic rules. The obstacles are less of coordination in publication academic rules especially about fake signatures and its consequences to every students in UMM.
