Abstract

This research is quantitative research that classified into exploration research, which has a purpose to find out the difference of social maturity between secure and unsecured stickness children to their mother at TK Tunas Rimba Tanjung Selor. Social maturity is social capability stages reached by children. It is divided into five aspect, they are : self help ability generally, self help ability to eat, self help ability to get dress, self direct ability, ability to do something to produce an art, ability to communicate with others, ability and bravely to move or go to some place, and ability to interact with others. While the secure stickness is a good emotional band between mother and children are shown by the undisturbed attitude as they left alone by their mother, the openness with the presence of other and able to explore with the surrounding, and also have more self confidence. While the unsecured stickness is the less good emotional band between mother and children and shown by the introvert attitude and scary attitude to the foreigner, feel less uncomfortable and disturbed with the little things like daily parting or left alone by his mothers, less self-confidence. The submitted hypothesis in this research is whether exist or not the difference of social maturity of children who still secure and unsecured sticknes to their mother. The amount of subject on this reseach is 50 peoples consisting of 24 children with secure stickness and 26 children with unsecured stickess. Samples intake technique uses purposive sampling by looking 2 characteristics they are: pre-school age children and registered or active as children in TK Tunas Rimba. Data collecting technique uses stickness scale and VSMS test. Validity test uses product moment technique, reliability test uses Alpha Cronbach technique, data analisys technique uses T-Test technique under spss computer program aid. Data analisys technique proves that there is significant social maturity difference between the experience secure and unsecure stickness children to their mother, with t-value = 2.488 and P = 0.016
