Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) the implementation of POGIL learning model with scientific approach on learning geometry of flat side (2) problem solving ability on learning geometry of flat side use POGIL learning model with scientific approach (3) student creativity on learning geometry of flat side use POGIL learning model with scientific approach. The type of this research is descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approach. The object this research is implementation of POGIL lerning with scientific approach on learning geometry of flat side. Data sources are students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Malang and the researcher. The data were taken through questionnaire to observe teacher’s activity and students’ activity, writing test work to know student problem solving ability and creativity. The result of this research shows that: (1) the implementation of POGIL learning model with scientific approach on learning geometry of flat side is done in accordance to lesson plan and teacher’s and students’ activities during the learning process are in good category (2) problem solving ability on learning geometry of flat side use POGIL learning model with scientific approach achieves good level of mastery, with good category on indicators of understanding the problem, good enough category in indicators of planning and implementing the plan, and good less category on indicators of reviewing and expanding the problem (3) student creativity on learning geometry of flat side use POGIL learning model with scientific approach reaches good mastery level, with good enough category in indicator of fluency, flexibility, authenticity, and elaboration. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementation of POGIL learning model with scientific approach on learning geometry of flat side space has reached the average with good enough category for each variable.
