Abstract

Social capital as a social network associated with the existence of norms and mutual trust to each other that encourage people to participate in achieving common goals. The social capital at Tanjungarum Village is illustrated in the UMKM Industry of Oyster Mushroom Cultivation, so that in the development of the industry the appears of opportunities that exist in the community one of them job opportunities and also the public wellbeing opportunities. This research explains the development of Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Industry at Tanjungarum Village by looking at the existing social capital form, the change of Oyster Mushroom industry at the beginning until now, as well as the creative industry which is grown in the cultivation of oyster mushroom at Tanjungarum Village.The method used in this study is the type of qualitative research with descriptive approach. Data obtained through some data collection, they are direct observation, interview and in-depth documentation to 7 subjects that have been selected based on criteria with purposive sampling method. From the 7 subjects it consists of 3 men and 4 women. The theory used in this study that is social capital concept from Robert D. Putnam, he emphasizes the concept of social capital is part of life that is based on norms, networks and beliefs to achieve common goals together as to see the development of UMKM industry of oyster mushroom cultivation is growing by developing mushrooms into various processed. This study examines the relationships that exist in the community as well as the relationship that exists between the owner of the industry with consumers and with other farmers who are members of the group. The study was analyzed using the concept of social capital by Robert D. Putnam. In this theory there are 3 important points namely Trust, Network (network), and norm (Norm). The results of this study indicate that: 1) Aspects of Networks in UMKM Industry cultivation of oyster mushroom shows the participation of the personal network of owners, between farmers and with traditional markets. 2) The aspect of trust is seen from the existence of trust relationship where in the cultivation industry UMKM Oyster Mushroom emphasizes how the owner trust his colleagues or customers, 3) Aspects of Norms, where the latter aspect is a commitment between the owner and the workers as well as with their customers. 4) The form of social capital in the community at Tanjungarum village as described in Putnam's Social Capital concept where the three concepts of network, norm and trust become one thing that has an effect on success in the management of the Oyster Mushroom cultivation industry towards a more positive one.
