Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution of livestock and animal trends in the city of Batu, East Java. The study was conducted from October to November 2017. Livestocks recorded in this study are beef cattle, dairy cattle, buffalo, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, laying hens, broilers, chickens, ducks, entok, quails and pigeons. The respondents used were Batu City’s farmers who have livestocks. The tool used is a questionnaire. The research method used survey. The analysis distribution of livestock used descriptive analysis. The livestock trend used Curve Fit analysis. The result of this study show that the highest distribution of livestock are beef cattle in Sumbergondo Village, dairy cattle in Pesanggrahan Village, buffalo in Tulungrejo Village, goats and quail in Bumiaji Village, sheep and rabbits in Bulukerto Village, pigs, broilers and ducks are located in Tlekung Village, laying hens in Junrejo Village, entok in Gunungsari Village and pigeons are located in Sidomulyo. Beef cattle, buffalo, broilers and broilers has a negative trend, while dairy cattle, goat, sheep , pigs, laying hens, ducks, entok, rabbits, quails and pigeons have a positive trend.
