The purpose of research is the first to know the employment profile in East Java, both for the development of food and drink industry in East Java year 1996-2005, for the three factors which include the number of industries, and the amount of output to employment in the food industry and water in East Java and fourth to find out which factors most affect the absorption of labor in the food and beverage industry in East Java. Data analysis tool that is used to explore the influence of these variables are free variables bound to the model used doubled linear regression analysis using the F test and the test t. Based on the results of data analysis that was made known that it can profile employment in East Java can note that the level of employment at the highest food and beverage industry going in 1998 was 336,629 while the lowest absorption occurs in the year 2003 that is as much as 160,136 people. The development of food and beverage industry can note that the number of companies or food and drink industry in East Java in 1996 until 2005 shows that the highest amount in 1997 that as many as 1934, while the lowest amount in the year 2003 with the number of companies that is as much as 1288. Output in the production of food and drink industry in East Java, 1996 to 2005 can be known that the amount of the highest production output in 2005 amounting to 34,103,682,701, - while the lowest amount in the year 1999 amounting to 15669922887, -. The number of companies and production output can have a significant effect on employment in the food and beverage industry in East Java in 1996 until 2005. Based on the regression coefficients (standardized coefficients) of each variable can be explained that a variable number of companies of 1.969, the variable output of the production 0.052. Thus it can be concluded that the number of variables affect the company's employment in the food and beverage industry in East Java in 1996 until 2005.
