Abstract

An industry has a diverse electrical system, so it would require a security system to maintain the smooth process of distribution services on electrical systems. A large electrical system will certainly be at risk of interference that can occur whenever one of them is a short circuit. A short circuit that lasts for a certain period will cause a bow that can interfere with live equipment and endanger the lives of workers. To overcome the short circuit used electrical protection more relay current. In indarung VI factory PT. Semen Padang conditions of continuous adjustment of current relay more still there are errors so need to be repaired adjustment value with adjusted standard more current relation calculation, then do study arc flash analysis to know incident energy value, flash protection boundary and compare condition of eksiting to resetting condition so that classified based on the IEEE 1584 standard in order to determine the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to the NFPA 70-E so that workers can be safe from the dangers of arc flash.
