Abstract

3D printers are a technology that is widely applied and developed in developing industries. Because with this tool indsutri-growing industry can make prototype first. So prototyping becomes the key in assessing a product whether it is feasible to be mass produced. Therefore prototyping will greatly help determine the next production process and the value of investment that must be issued. 3D Printers utilizing the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method or the modeling process with this fusion deposition will build layer by layer from the bottom up by heating the nozzle head and extruding the filaments to the cross section. In terms of material that until now generally used for 3D printers is plastic. Because the filaments with plastic have a high melting point. It is a plastic filament material with Polylactic Acid (PLA) type. However there are several types of filaments that are still not commonly used, one of which is chocolate. With filaments made of chocolate as compared to filaments such as plastics, it has a low melting point.
