Abstract

This study is based on problem occurred in 7th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Malang who has low self-efficacy during mathematics subject. This study aims at describing student self-efficacy and their learning result after the implementation of group investigation learning model. There were 26 students of 7th grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 04 Malang as the subject of study. The data were teacher and students activities, students learning result, questionnaire, and student interview. Data analysis was done by quantitative and qualitative to be describe. Result of study showed that improvement of student self-efficacy during mathematics subject was done well and in accordance to the plan. Student activity increased in every meeting with first meeting average of 2.984 which included as good, second meeting of 3.334 which included as good, third meeting of 3.471 whch included as good and fourth for first meeting and post-test result of 81.84 for fourth meeting so the average increase of post-test was 20.34%. While the student self-efficacy with every high category included 14 students, high included 9 student and moderate of 3 students.
