Abstract
This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu which aims to describe the habit of reading the Quran class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu, the level of learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu, and there is least influence the habit of reading the Qur'an on student achievement in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu. To conduct this research, quantitative research approach was used with correlation coefficient of contingency analysis. The population is all students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu totaling 204 students. Sampling is carried out research using purposive sampling technique by taking a class VIII D, VIII E totaling 51 students. These results indicate that Ha is received there was a corelation between the variable habit of reading the Qur'an students' learning achievement of Islamic education cognitive with affective aspects obtained significance value. This statement is derived from the acquisition of consultation between r arithmetic and r table at 5% significance level for 51 respondents stating that r arithmetic = 0.875 and r table = 0.284, thus r arithmetic > r table. It means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
