Abstract

A skill to apply mathematic concept is an important skill for most of people in daily life. To increase the skill, our government has been planning to have a numeracyliteracy program. Researcher did a research about the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang. It’s one of school applying this program in Malang. This research has purpose to describe : (1) plan of the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, (2) realize the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, (3) effort to solve problems in realizing the numeracy literacy program in elemetary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, (4) proponent factor in realizing the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, (5) inhibiting factor in realizing the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang This research used qualitative research approch by using descriptive type. Coordinator of curriculum sector, teachers and fouth class students as data source in this research. Researcher did this study in January till February 2018 by using interview, observation and documentation method. The result of this research showed that (1) plan of the numeracy literacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang is not in program list yet and in especially case, it still make an adjustment with the numeracy literacy matter in learning mathematic and lesson topic 2013 curriculum. (2) The realization of this numeracy liteacy program in elementary school Muhammadiyah 1 Malang is match with the three steps of school literacy program, they are habitual, development and learning step it also conform to five indicators of numeracy literacy. (3) The effort to solve problems in realizing teh numeracy literacy program based on general purpose of the literacy in school. (4) Government and numeracy literacy program’s object are include in proponent factor. (5) The inhibiting factor is aimed to three of numeracy literacy program’s objects. Numeracy literacy targets consist of xlass base, school culture base and community base.
