Abstract

The result of observation and first interview conducted in 4th grade at SDN 4 Wringinrejo and SDI Baitussalam Banyuwangi, the teachers have never implemented the traditional game in the learning process. Moreover, in the implementation of physical education learning with basic movement as the subject, the teacher also constrained with the limitation of facility and infrastructure that was available in school. Based on the existing problem, this study which entitled “The Development of Traditional Game for Basic Motor Movement in 4th grade students of Elementary School”, is important to be implemented in the learning process. The study aims to developing the traditional game for basic motor movement in 4th grade students of Elementary School. This study uses research and development with ADDIE as a research model. This model has five stages in research as follows; analysis, design, development, implement, and evaluation. The data collection techniques that used in this study are observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by means of quantitative and qualitative research were applied in research and development in order to recognize the validity, efficiency, and attractiveness. The result of this study showed the percentage of expert game validation questionnaire is 85%, with valid qualification and feasible use with revision suggestion. The validation of media expert get percentage result 86 with qualification result are valid and feasible used with revision suggestion. Meanwhile, validation from material expert get percentage result 87% with qualification result are valid and feasible used with revision suggestion. The student learning outcomes that conducted at SDN 4 Wringinrejo showed the percentage of 85% with effective qualification. On the other hand, the student learning outcomes at SDI Baitussalam showed the percentage of 90% with very effective qualification. In addition, the outcome of student learning activities at SDN 4 Wringinrejo is 90% with very effective qualification and at SDI Baitussalamis is 89% with effective qualification. Student response questionnaire that obtained in SDN 4 Wringinrejo is 90% with very interesting qualification and in SDI Baitussalam is 86% with interesting qualification. Based on the result, it can concluded that the development of traditional game for basic motor movement in 4th grade students of Elementary School are valid, effective, and interesting to be used in the learning process of physical education.
