Abstract

There is none of a learning media to equip students in learning tidal water. The students are difficult to imagine how the position of the earth, the sun, and the moon during the lunar eclipse that effected the tides of sea water. The students are more motivated to learn when the students’ difficulties toward the existence of tools or learning media that help students in learning. The aim of this research is as follows: (1) to develop learning media of diorama pasurlut in tidal wave of seawater on grade VI and (2) to describe the effectiveness of instructional media of diorama pasurlut of tidal sea on grade VI. The researcher uses ADDIE research model as the type of development research. The sources of data in this study are the students of grade VI of elementary school, the teacher classroom, the expert of media instruction validator, and the material expert validator. This study was conducted on the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. This research is done through 5 stage those are, analysis stage, stage of design, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The results of this study revealed that (1) the validity of learning media of pasurlut diorama obtained from validation of media expert with 97.5% which is very valid category. Validation of material experts with a 95% category value is very valid. (2) the effectiveness of the pasurlut diorama media shows that the increase of pre-test results to post-test results increased from 61.2 to 89.2 in average. The result shows that the student's response to the media pasurlut with 91,47% of students interested on the media. Besides, the assessment of teacher response shows 95%. Classical completeness value of 26 students who have completed from kkm and the total of 33 students get 78.78%. Deriving from the results of the diorama pasurlut media is effectively used in the learning process.
