Abstract

Background : CTS is an injury to the wrist, this injury is usually caused by activities that require repeated movements over a long period of time. The use of infrared in the case of CTS is to raise the temperature of the tissue causing vasodilation of blood vessels other than that mild heating in the muscles. The use of nerve mobilization is stretching out on the nerve tissues that will affect the dynamics of the blood vessels, Method : This research uses quasi experimental method with approach of two group pre and post test design. This research was conducted on May 22 - June 9, 2018. Respondents in this research is a student of Information Engineering Class C class of 2016 which amounted to 30 respondents divided into 2 groups namely Infrared and Nerve Mobilization. Result : Based on the results of Independent test t test obtained significant value of 0.475 (P> 0.05) then H0 accepted so that the research results obtained no comparison of the effect of Infrared and Nerve Mobilization to decrease the pain of risk of CTS on UMM IT students. Conclusion : There is no comparison of the effect of giving Infrared and Nerve Mobilization on the reduction of pain risk of CTS occurrence in UMM IT students.
