Abstract

The implementation of thematic learning still not maximized, the implementation can obtained from the outcome of the first observation that showed the learning outcome from students of SDN 1 Lelateng still not satisfying. The cause of the problem is the teachers are less likely to apply a variety of interesting, innovative, and creative teaching methods, so it’s made the students become passive in the learning process. Based on the problem, there needs to be improvement efforts by using picture and picture learning model and mystery box that which aims to (1) Describes the use of picture and picture learning model by use the mystery box media in the thematic learning “Various Job” topic for fourth grade students. (2) Improve the learning outcome in thematic learning “Various Job” topic. 4 Topics 1 subtopic 2 learning and 4 learning using picture and picture model and mystery box media. Design that used in this research is Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). This research is implemented in 2 cycles trough the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. Subjects of this study are the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Lelateng Negara Bali, with 31 students, consist of 13 male students and 18 female students. Technique that used in this research are observation, test and documentation. Data analysis in this research is used qualitative descriptive. The result of this research showed that in a classical way the percentage of student’s activity in the first cycle it has enough category in percentage 47, 5% and in and in the second cycle it increased become very good category in percentage 89%. The use of picture and picture model and mystery box can increase the student’s learning outcome in a classical way, learning outcomes from the cognitive domain in the first cycle has 48% percentage of mastery, increase become 83%. Learning outcomes from the effective domain in first cycle has 45% percentage of mastery, increase become 94% in the second cycle. Learning outcomes from psychomotor domain in the first cycle has 33% and become 100% in the second cycle. The conclusion that the researcher got from the data is that picture and picture and mystery box media can improve student’s learning outcomes in the fourth grade students of SDN 1 Lelateng Negara Bali.
