Abstract

In the era of globalization, information technology has developed rapidly included in the learning process. One of school in Malang, which already use information technology in the learning process is the Muhammadiyah Elementary School 9 Malang. The school already has the facilities and infrastructure as well as the use of Information Technology based in the learning process. This study aims to determine: (1) the learning process without the use of Information Technology, (2) examine the use of Information Technology to the learning process, and (3) the impact of utilization of information technology in the learning process. This study uses a quantitative research with descriptive quantitative research. The research was conducted in Muhammadiyah Elementary School 9 Malang and held on 8th until January 15, 2018. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results showed: (1) the learning process without the use of Information Technology, student responses own bustling, unruly and tasks with no earnest. This is indicated by when the learning process, students talk when the teacher was explaining the material, (2) the use of Information Technology to the learning process, has been carried out by the teacher in the learning process. This is shown when the learning process, teachers are using PowerPoint and videos as well as the results of a questionnaire showed the 93.75% of teachers using Information Technology, 87% of teachers use Powerpoint (3) the impact of utilization of information technology during the learning process, students become focused, enthusiastic , focus and task in earnest.
