Abstract

The death rate is a very sensitive indicator recognized for assessing the success of health development. The mortality rate is commonly used as an indicator of health status is infant mortality rate (IMR). Every year an estimated eight million babies are stillborn or die within the first month of life. Of the seven million babies who die each year, roughly two-thirds die in the first month of life. From the large number of newborn deaths there are some factors that cause them are hipothermia. Hipothermia is the baby's temperature is less than 36 oC. Besides, as a symptom hipothermia be an early disease that ends in death. Hipothermia would cause hypoglycemia, metabolic acidosis. The normal temperature of newborns itself is 36oC - 37oC. In this research application developed is a system thermometer to monitor the baby's temperature accurately, which measures the temperature via the tympanic membrane of the ear using infrared rays. To implement the above system is needed Wireless ESP8266 which serves as the control system of data collection by sensors simultaneously connect to a wireless network for your Android device receives. There is one sensor system that functions for data retrieval is an infrared sensor MLX90247.
