Abstract

Terminology of character is interpreted as human’s behavior related to God, our self, fellow human beings, environment, and nationality are embodied in thought, attitude, feeling, word, and deed grounded on religious norms, law, etiquette, culture, and customs. One of the most important characters that planted to the learners is self-confident character. It is interpreted as a sure attitude of ability our self as an effort to fulfill or reach up every desire and hope. Based on the statement of problem above, the aim of this study as follows: (1) to describe the implementation of investment of self-confident character education through drama extracurricular at SDN Dinoyo 3 Malang, (2) to explain the obstacle in implementing of investment of self-confident character education through drama extracurricular at SDN Dinoyo 3 Malang. Method of this study is qualitative descriptive which is to examine actual conditions related to the attitude, perception, motivation, and others in real by descriptive way in the form of words and language. The outcome of this study showed that the implementation of character investment was applied through drama extracurricular at SDN Dinoyo 03 Malang cannot be separated from the school mission that makes the learners better and have a good character to run daily activity life. Drama extracurricular at SDN Dinoyo 03 Malang was held as a school effort to foster student’s character. In a nutshell, drama extracurricular of students built on every Saturday which is at the time of student training built for discipline and full of confidence, time set for training time at 13.00 p.m. Before the training, the students do praying together in order to make the implementation of training goes well. The students work together in the drama extracurricular activity itself as in the making of costume, dressing, and dialogue in the script. Creative, which is require them to have a myriad of new ideas that are poured in the training during drama performances.
