Abstract

SDN (Public Elementary School) Purwantoro 2 Malang is a school expects the students to be discipline in study, due to discipline is key of success in learning. However, in fact, there are students violate the school order. This research aims to know: (1) teacher role in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang; (2) supporting and obstacle factors in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang; and (3) teacher efforts in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang. This research used qualitative research and descriptive research type, in which the researcher described the research result in words or sentences. The research subject was school principal, 5th-B Grade teacher, and 5th-B Grade students in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang. This research was conducted on December 2017. The research result showed that: (1) teacher role in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang, the teacher has implemented its role to nurture students into discipline; (2) supporting and obstacle factors in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang as follow: the supporting factors are good cooperation among teacher and between school and parents/guardians that give much supports to the school success in building the learners. While, the obstacle factors are few students less understand about school order meaning appropriately, few parents/guardians that give less supports in building student disciplinary, which is parents/guardians that give less manner education to the children; (3) teacher efforts in building student disciplinary at 5th Grade through school order in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang such as exemplary from a teacher, teacher is role model for students, teacher is close to the student daily activities. As exemplary, teacher should present good attitude, manner, behavior that can be followed by all students. Consistently, teachers keep conducting socialization to the students about the importance of discipline in order to achieve good behavior through building and development, while the more important is through exemplary.
