Abstract

Javanese language is one lesson which less interest on students at second grade of SDN Jatimulyo Malang, especially in Javanese folklore story. This case is happened because the texts are too long and the way how the teacher teaches the students are not interesting. The teacher does not use media or tools to deliver the knowledge in teaching and learning process. Thus, the teaching and learning process seems boring and monotonous. The purpose of this research is to improve teaching and learning media Pop-up based on folklore to teach Javanese language properly. This research is a type of development research which uses ADDIE. The models of ADDIE are (1) Analysis (2) Design (3) Development (4) Implementation (5) Evaluation. This research is taken at SDN Jatimulyo Malang on 13 and 15 March 2018. The media which have develop are validated by material experts and learning experts before tested. The research subject is 24 students. The result of the validation from media experts receive 93,61 % which is very valid categories. Whereas, the result from material experts receive 86,53% which is very valid. After the tested, the questionnaire results present 100% score, in which students in a small group choose very interesting category. The tested is also given to big group which choose very interesting category receive 95%. Then, the teachers response are 93,75% very valid category. The result of this research can concluded that Pop-up media development based on folklore can teach Javanese language properly. In the teaching and learning process, that media acquire good response and encourage students’ achievement.
