Abstract

Control system used to regulate the frequency of the plant PLTMH has been developed. The frequency standard that generated from the plant PLTMH is 50 Hz with a tolerance of ± 0.5 Hz. Generally, the governor of PLTMH using PID method. But governor control using PID hasn’t been optimal to response the changed load, it needs adaptive control method like fuzzy. But the weakness of the fuzzy method is the determination of the membership function. To overcome the determination magnitude of membership functions, ANFIS method can be an alternative in the governor systems. Frequency control with the ANFIS and ANFIS-PID methods produced a good system response. The ANFIS and ANFIS-PID control methods are able to maintain the stability of the frequency when the load changes and produced an error approaching 0. ANFIS-PID method produced a better error and rise time than ANFIS method, but ANFIS method can decrease max overshoot better than ANFIS-PID control with the largest value of overshoot max at 118kW load with a value of error 2.32%
