Abstract

According to the needs analysis in SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang, the school did not provide the supporting media, the teacher has never made a learning media that explains about mathematics learning materials, the students' difficulties in memorizing the formulas and working on the problems of the perimeter and area of plane material. Therefore, it is necessary to use appropriate media for 4th grade students in learning mathematics, so that the students are able to comprehend the formulas of perimeter and area of plane along with the completion; thus, it is expected to reach the learning purposes. This research aimed at: (1) developing a valid Lukata Board media on perimeter and area of plane material for 4th grade students of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang , (2) developing an effective Lukata Board media on perimeter and area of plane material for 4th grade students of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang, and (3) developing a Lukata Board media on perimeter and area of plane material for 4th grade students of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang that is interestingThis research used research and development of ADDIE model. This ADDIE development model had five stages that were Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research was applied in 4th grade students of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang with 32 students. This research was conducted in the academic year of 2017/2018 in even semester. The result of this research showed that the development of Lukata Board media on the perimeter and area of plane material for 4th grade students of SDN Purwantoro 2 Malang was valid, effective and interesting. The result of media validation percentage before revision was 73.84% with sufficient description and need revision. Then, after revision was obtained percentages of 90.7% with valid description, no need for revision. The results of material expert were 85% with valid description. The effectiveness data were obtained from the students’ learning outcomes and students’ learning activities. The students’ learning outcomes were obtained the percentages of 83% with effective description and the students’ learning activities got the percentages of 81% with effective description. While for the attractiveness were obtained from the students’ response questionnaire with percentages of 98.56% in a very interesting description.The learning media of Lukata Board is suggested to inspire the teachers to always innovate in using learning media, so that they can create a fun and interesting learning situation.
