Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires learners to think HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). Students are developed for high-level thinking. The teacher no longer tells the students, but the students have to find out. Finding out means to need a process of intelligent and creative thinking. Thinking intelligently and creatively means thinking high level. High-level thinking skills introduced early in school will have a positive impact later on. This study aims to describe the RPP of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the learning of class V mathematics at SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang, describing the implementation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in V grade mathematics learning at SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang, describing the assessment of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in learning mathematics class V in SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang This research method with descriptive research approach and type of qualitative research. The results of the study are described in the form of words not numbers. Data source used is primary and secondary data source. Sources of data in research is the principal, the person in charge of strengthening character education, teachers, students, and parents. Data were obtained through interview technique, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used in this research is Miles and Huberman model analysis. The results showed that: (1) higher order thingking skills (HOTS) in grade 5 mathematics learning at SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang contain indicators analyzing (C4) evaluating (C5) and creating (C6), (2) Implementing higher order thingking skills (HOTS) in the learning of V grade mathematics at SDN Tunjung Sekar 3 Malang based on discovery (Discovery Learning), (3) High Order Grade Values (HOTS) in class V mathematics learning at SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang using type of written test assessment in the form of multiple choice and description.
