Abstract

Currently the number of motor vehicles in any type is increasing, both in terms of design and technology. All that can not be separated from the name of routine maintenance on the condition of the machine in particular. Treatment is relatively simple but very vital it is a regular replacement of lubricants. So this research aims to design the viscosity test equipment and lubricating oil lubricant on the motorcycle, so easy to carry anywhere that is portable and easy in operation. So that this tool can be used to test the wear and tear of material of test material and can be used to know the stickiness and performance of a lubricant (old, half used and new). This design result using pahl and beitz method where this method has 4 stages of planning, product design, design form and detail design. Based on the design using the pahl and beitz method obtained the design dimension of viscosity test equipment and lubricant oil stickiness with high size: 205 mm, width: 300 mm, length: 658 mm. Transmission system using v-belt type b with electric drive motor dayton 4FDY5 with 60 rpm rotation that will rotate the shaft. This axis that rotates the disk so that the disk and pin as material test specimens given a weight of 0.5 kg will rub against.
