Abstract

A good electrical distribution system should have a voltage value that does not exceed the operational tolerance limits and small power losses. Evaluation of voltage stability needs to be done on an ongoing basis to obtain information on power distribution system performance. Calculation of power flow analysis is used to determine the important parameters of electrical systems in steady state. The voltage profile fixing can be done by using voltage regulation equipment, such as capacitor bank and tap transformator (trafo). Through the simulation using Matlab R2012b application will obtain the appropriate capacitor bank and tap transformator to improve the performance. From the simulation results conducted on Pujon repeater distribution system there are several substations that experience a total voltage drop of 12.7%. After the addition of capacitor bank, the voltage on the system has increased significantly and does not exceed the limit of voltage tolerance and voltage drop to 4.6% and power factor increases. For the adjustment of the tap transformator ratio, the voltage drop improvement is seen on the secondary side of the relay station tansformator arranged according to the voltage difference on the primary side. The results obtained after the application of capacitor bank and tap ttransformator is the value of voltage drop becomes reduced to 3.5%
