Abstract

Humus is organic material derived from the degradation or decay of leaves and twigs decaying plants that eventually transform into the soil humus. Raw materials for humus is of the leaves or twigs falling,waste agricultural and animalhusbandry, industry, food agro-industry, bark, sawdust,wood chips, sludge, garbage householdand municipal solid wastes. Humus is a food source for plants, as well as good role models for the formation and maintain soil structure. In the process of making organic humus CV barokah jaya still using manual tools are still classified. To facilitate the production can be done by a machine that would produce automatically the manufacture of organic humus. To make an automatic machine required a control system. In this case using a PLC to set automatic processing machine humus and use the HMI as a performer working process. PLC is used as a regulator of all movers attached to the appliance. Sensor load cell functioned as penakar automatically to determine the weight of packaging products, at each packaging weight determined is 5kg, while proximity sensor itself is used as a detector material product to be pressed, not just the proximity sensor is also used as a counter material that has been pressed or packed. With the organic humus processing machine semi-automatic is expected to facilitate the performance of CV barokah jaya in doing dosing and packaging. The average time required for a process of dosing to packaging that is 5.12 seconds.
