Abstract

Climate change is an important issue because the impact it poses can threaten global security. One of the climatic actions that can be done to reduce the rate of climate change is to limit the global temperature of the earth. The Earth's temperature threshold rule is initiated by CVF to be agreed upon as a UNFCCC climate change regime. Since its inception, CVF has undertaken the stages of forming the UNFCCC climate change regime by making efforts to influence decision-making actors. The problem in this study is "how does the role of CVF in fighting the earth temperature threshold to 1.5 degrees Celsius in the UNFCCC forum since the planned temperature threshold rule in COP 15 until it agreed a joint agreement at COP 21". The issue will be answered using the International Environmental Regime and Green Politics as the basis for thinking. This research is an explanative research and data collection technique using library research method. The results show that CVF as a lead state in the process of forming the regime plays a role in incorporating the earth temperature threshold rule in the UNFCCC climate change regime with the efforts made in accordance with the concept of the International Environmental Regime.
