## Abstract

In fact, the value of mathematics learning the result of V class SDN 2 Pulungdowo students had lower grade average value compared to other subjects, so it needs improvement in the learning process by applying the Make A Match learning model.This research aimed to find out: (1) the application of making a match learning model in learning mathematics on V class learning in SDN 2 Pulungdowo, and (2) improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of V class SDN Pulungdowo 02 by using make a match learning model. This research used qualitative and quantitative research and the type of research conducted was classroom action research. The data sources used were 21 students of V class SDN 2 Pulungdowo consisted of 12 male students and 9 female students. This study was conducted in March 2018 in two cycles where each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. The result of the study showed that (1) the application of making a match learning model in V class learning in SDN 2 Pulungdowo can give new nuance to students’ learning process so they do not feel bored and interested to learn math. (2) the application of making a match learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on the volume of the room. It could be proven by the increase in the average learning outcomes of students in each cycle where the average pre-cycle cycle was 57 and the completion was only 42.9% then it was increased in cycle I with grade 68 and grade 93,00 for the completion % and increased again in cycle II with an average of 82 and the completion was 95.3% and only 1 student who has not reached KKM until cycle II. Then it could be concluded that the application of making a match learning model could increase the students’ mathematics learning outcomes in V class in SDN 2 Pulungdowo especially in the volume of room material.
