Abstract

Madura tribe is a tribe who works in the field of trade and agriculture. Madurese many scattered in various areas. This society is hard grumpy and sometimes the words that are not pantas.sifat is what causes the perception. In terms of trade often appear negative traits Madurese. As the most experienced buyers who shop at traditional markets, where many traders from Madura tribe. This case was strengthened by the findings of a two Madurese traders who get angry if the merchandise offered and dissuade potential buyers despite negotiable. Traders curse and remove the words that do not deserve, sometimes cheat when buying or selling, for example, provide goods that are not worthy of consumption by the purchaser, in order that the old merchandise sales. This causes the buyer trauma and lazy to do transactions with them. In the trade Madurese also known to have a high work ethic. They are economically successful because they have high morale. The purpose of this research is to know the perception of mothers against traders in the market gadang Malang of the Madurese. In this study, the perception is a process of responding to an object, subject, and information with the receipt of the stimulus by the individual through the tool receptor. In this study, researchers use this kind of research Non-Experiment, namely diskrptif with quantitative approach. Population is a housewife, residing in the vicinity of the market Gadang Malang Segaran precisely in Hamlet, Village Kendalpayak, District Pakisaji Malang. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Sample in this study has characteristics such as housewives, unemployed, living in Hamlet Segaran, Village Kendalpayak, aged 20-50 years, often shopped at the merchant Madura. With a total sample of 40 people. Based on the research that has been done so in this section described the results of T-score calculation. Based on the research that has been done, then there are some things you can housewife who has a positive perception of Madurese traders amounted to 18 people or 45%. Meanwhile, a housewife who has a negative perception about the Madurese traders as many as 22 people or 55%.
